5 of the most beautiful spa hotels in Paris, by Elle
In her article "5 of the most beautiful hotels with spas in Paris", Elle presents the Narcisse Blanc spa:
Le Narcisse Blanc, Paris's most secret spa
It's hard to imagine that behind the Haussmann façade of a building in the VIIth arrondissement, a stone's throw from Les Invalides, lies one of the most discreet 5-star hotels in Paris. It also has a pretty history: it's named Narcisse Blanc in honor of Cléo de Mérode, nicknamed "pretty little narcissus" by her friend, musician Reynaldo Hahn. This boutique hotel features around 30 rooms and suites, all with a hushed ambience, moldings, high ceilings and Art Nouveau touches, typical of 19th-century Haussmann apartments. Top of the list is the Cléo suite, with its Parisian flair, Eiffel Tower view, attic space and marble fireplace. After a drink in the Bar Léopold, named after the Belgian king whose alleged affair with Cléo de Mérode caused a scandal at the end of the 19th century, head for the restaurant, Cléo. Chef Bruno Aubin, an ex-Bristol employee, creates a delicate cuisine, with spices that sublimate each plate.
The spa: In a refined, Art Deco decor with its white loungers highlighted in black, its tall white and gold mosaic columns, it houses a 13m-long swimming pool for swimming against the current, a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a small fitness room. In the unique cabin, you can enjoy a tailor-made Anne Semonin treatment, the 90-minute Soin Signature Paris Rive Gauche, or the aromatic body massage with personalized blends of botanical oils, in 60 or 90 minutes, the choice is yours!
